Who are we?

Hey everyone! We’re the Pittmans.

We love the Lord; we love his word, and we love his body—the church.

We’re big on morning Bible time together and Super Special Saturday Pancakes.

We also are pretty involved at church and host… *a lot*. We look forward to Tuesday nights, when young adults fill our home to share dinner and get in the word; and Saturdays, when the backyard fills with the screams of youth, zipping down the zipline, before they quiet down (a little), squishing together to read the word in our living room. We’re always looking for more ways to share the word in our family and with the saints. But sometimes, especially with so many people coming and going, days and nights get crazy.

But we—Geoffrey and Katherine, (dad and mom of the PittCrew)—have personally been so helped by verses memorized in former days. Through the crazy days of motherhood, homeschooling, and hosting, (and with Geoffrey traveling, working, and sometimes preaching back-to-back messages), we can both testify that his implanted word sustained us. It has been our life, our deliverance, our ability to serve the Lord, and meditate on his word—even when days are full and pressed to the max.

We know first hand the value of the memorized word, and we long to pass this on to our children. But sometimes, when days get so full, that thing you have in your heart gets neglected and a little forgotten. The burden for Write the Word arose from this desire to encourage consistent Bible memory in our home–even on the busiest days.

Thanks for letting us share this work with you. We hope it blesses your family as it has ours.

in Christ,

Katherine, for the PittCrew

  1. Hello!

I noticed your book on Amazon when I was searching to see what is out there in the Bible Curriculum for High Schoolers arena, and I love what you are doing here! As a fellow author, I thought you’d want to know that there is a typo in your subtitle on Amazon. Your book is listed as “Write the Word on My Heart: A Bible Memorization Curriculum for Young Writers and Their Families.” I see that this is different than what your book cover says, so I thought you’d want to know. Be sure to have your publisher address this so that you don’t miss out on sales!

Blessings in your work of bringing the Word into others’ lives!
