Color the Word is an 18-page digital download and includes 1 coloring sheet and 1 copywork sheet for each of the six verses in Psalm 23. The copywork sheets list the same verse in 5 different fonts, with 5 different ways of copying them to keep the copy both fun and engaging, and to give creative minds plenty of space to add their own variations to the copywork. The coloring sheets can be displayed for decoration, for help with memory work, or bound together as a book. There is a final page at the end of the book to rewrite the Psalm or to record ponderings and lessons learned as you memorize the verses.

“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates…” Deuteronomy 6:7-9 ESV
There’s something about seeing a verse regularly that helps keep it in your heart, or that causes you to think on it often. Color the Word’s simple format, with coloring sheets created specifically for display, makes it easy to do just that.
This edition of Color the Word is simple enough for a kindergartener, yet complex enough to be enjoyed by both tweens and even adults. It was created with plenty of input from my tween daughter. Age recommendation 5+
**Katherine’s Reccomendation: For extra fun, print the document on extra thick craft or watercolor paper and paint the Psalm!
